Designed to inspire personal / inner growth, foster a deeper appreciation for life, and enhance your overall well-being, ZEN AND SHOJIN RYORI offers a unique opportunity to cultivate yourself through Zen aesthetics and enrich the quality of your life.
We invite you to slow down and join us for a Zen meditation and shojin ryori (vegan) breakfast, including matcha and a traditional Japanese sweets.

About the Session
Each session lasts 135 minutes and includes a simple yet traditional Zen shojin ryori breakfast at THE GALLERY by odo, carefully curated under the supervision of Executive Chef Hiroki Odo. Shojin ryori describes a vegan cuisine that originated in Zen Buddhism. Our shojin ryori breakfast arrives on a simple-looking elegant tray of Echizen lacquerware with a set of three traditional Zen meal bowls. These contain an original assortment of dishes made without any dairy or animal products that highlight the season, including a mazegohan (mixed rice with vegetables), a soup dish, and a vegetable dish.
We will immerse ourselves in the wisdom of Zen teachings, explore our inner voices, intuition, and awareness, and conclude with talks and a Q&A session. Following the meal, you’ll enjoy matcha and a traditional Japanese sweet, served in a simplified version of the tea ceremony.
