Join Us for an Exclusive Sake Experience at Pier 57

We are delighted to invite you to a special collaboration between Odo East Village and BŌKEN for an evening of discovery at the James Beard Foundation’s Platform.

On Thursday, May 21, 2026, Chef Koji Toyoda of Odo East Village will present a curated selection of bites from our kaiseki izakaya menu to accompany a guided tasting led by Daisuke Nakajima, the founder of BŌKEN.

Beyond the Bottle: A BŌKEN Sake Experience

This seminar goes beyond the pour to explore the craftsmanship behind small-production Japanese sake. Guests will learn about the brewing process and the specific factors—aroma, texture, and structure—that define each glass.

To complement these distinctive sakes, Chef Koji has prepared pairings designed to showcase the versatility of sake when served alongside seasonally driven dishes.
