Odo East Village Opens: Reservations Now Live

Dear valued guests,

We are thrilled to announce that Odo East Village officially opens its doors tomorrow, February 1st, at 536 East 5th Street.

This new venture introduces the "Kaiseki Izakaya"—a unique culinary category coined by Chef Hiroki Odo and his team that brings together the technical precision of kaiseki with the spirited, approachable warmth of a neighborhood izakaya.
Guests can expect seasonality, refined execution, and an ever-changing menu unrestricted to a tasting course, in an á la carte format.

Offering a unique twist, Odo East Village’s menu will be completely gluten free.  With the new opening, Chef Odo challenged himself and the team to showcase alternatives to Japanese staples known for containing gluten.

While you wait to join us at the table, we invite you to explore the aesthetic of our new space online. Odo East Village serves as a living showroom for our online boutique, Odo at Home (odohome.us).

Many of the curated elements that define the OEV experience—including our hand-selected ceramics, glassware, signature incense, and specialty ingredients—are available for purchase, allowing you to bring the Odo lifestyle into your own home.

How to Book

Reservations are released on a 30-day rolling basis exclusively via Resy.

  • Rolling Availability: New tables become live each day for the following 30-day window.

  • Stay Updated: We kindly encourage you to monitor the Odo East Village Resy page daily for new openings and potential cancellations.

We look forward to welcoming you into our 24-seat home in the East Village very soon.

An Update on Availability

Following a quiet release to our newsletter subscribers and recent media coverage, we are humbled by the overwhelming response from our community. As a result, Odo East Village is nearly fully booked for its first 30 days of service.

New availability is released each day for the upcoming 30-day period, so we encourage you to check back frequently.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to those who were hoping to secure a table immediately. We are deeply grateful for your excitement and support as we launch this new chapter.
